Recipe #1: Granola Power Bites

Power Bites taste like cookie dough balls, but they are easier to make and healthier. Since these treats are no-bake, they are convenient to make on hot summer days when you do not want to use an oven.

Ingredients

-1 cup of your favorite flavor of True North Granola or Nutty No Grainer

-1 teaspoon vanilla extract

-1/3 cup honey or other sweetener, such as maple syrup

-1/2 cup nut butter of choice

-1/2 cup of mini chocolate chips or nuts (optional)

-1/2 cup ground flax seed (optional)

Steps

If you have a food processor, grind up the True North Granola/Nutty No Grainer and the chocolate chips/nuts into a powder. If not, just combine these first, and then stir in the remaining ingredients. Combine this mixture with the flax seed in a medium-sized bowl, and then stir in the honey, vanilla and nut butter.

Refrigerate the mixture for 30 minutes.

Shape it into 1-inch balls using your hands or a scoop.

Store the bites in the freezer. When you are hungry, just take some out and enjoy.

Recipe #2: Granola Energy Bars

These Energy Bars can refuel your trips, outdoor adventures, workouts or busy days at the office or at home.

Ingredients

-1 cup nut butter of choice

-1/2 teaspoon salt

-½ cup maple syrup, honey or other sweetener

-2 cups of True North Granola or Nutty No Grainer, toasted

-½ cup berries of choice

-1/2 cups chopped nuts

Steps

Line an 8-inch pan with oiled parchment paper.

Combine the nut butter and sweetener before stirring in the granola/Nutty No Grainer, salt, berries and nuts. Place the pan in the fridge for an hour, or until the mixture cools.

Cut into about 16 squares, and eat up!  These can be refrigerated for about a week.
